The Taxi and General Committee considered two proposals to raise the maximum metered fares charged by Hackney Carriages (taxis that can be hailed in the street) in Caerphilly. It agreed to recommend that Cabinet approve proposal A, and to advertise the proposals for a 14-day public consultation.
The committee set taxi and general licence fees for 2025/26, to apply from 17 November 2025. Vehicle and operator fees will go out to a 28-day consultation and take effect only once it closes, unless objections need the committee to meet again.
