RESOLVED – That the Notice of Motion be supported as follows: (iii) That Wrexham County Borough Council note : • Shift work was widespread in many industries, particularly hospitality as well as health and care workers, retail, cleaning, security and porter staff and can often entail late night working. • Many workers, especially women were increasingly worried about their safety travelling to and from work at night. • While employers may feel that their duty of care to staff ends when an employee finishes a shift, they also need to take into consideration journeys home, especially during …

Notice of Motion
RESOLVED - That Council, in consideration of the views of the elected members who attended the member workshop, does not support either of the options being consulted on, and responds to the consultation as set out in Appendix 1 to Agenda Item 10. The Council calls on the Fire Authority to maintain the current levels of emergency cover within the County Borough of Wrexham. That all Councillors are reminded they can respond individually to the consultation survey by the extended deadline of 30th September, which is available at www.northwalesfire.gov.wales.
