He placed on record his thanks to Mumbles Community Council, the respondents who came forward in the consultation and local ward members who've all fed into the ideas for that space and hopefully, subject to planning, we can see a great facility being established there in the future.

Resolved that the Notice of Motion outlined above be adopted.
Proposed by Councillor Chris Holley and Seconded by Councillor Mary Jones. Swansea as a Maritime City has a long history of supporting the ROYAL NATIONAL LIFEBOAT INSTITUTION The City gave them the Freedom of the City in 1987 when the then Lord Mayor Councillor Lilian Hopkin awarded the freedom to the Mumbles Lifeboat Station. This was not given to one person but the whole crews who work from there. This motion reaffirms our support for the wonderful work that the volunteers do, saving lives. We recognise the dangers they face responding to anyone who is in trouble at sea, putting their own lives at risk to help others. The RNLI organisation is a charity not funded by government. It is supported by donations and operated by brave volunteers. The recent attacks on members of the RNLI are simply unacceptable. They should be supported and thanked not attacked. No one should interfere with the work of the RNLI volunteers who are there to help people in difficulty and save lives. We call on council to publicly restate its commitment support and thanks for the work of RNLI Mumbles and all who volunteer for the RNLI across the UK In doing so we call on the Leader and the Chief Executive to write to the headquarters and the Mumbles station of RNLI outlining the full support of our council to reinforce our continuing thanks. Resolved that the Notice of Motion outlined above be adopted.
