Councils across Wales have spent October and early November on annual self-assessments, performance reports, complaints reports and changes to their constitutions. Audit Wales reports on housing adaptations and on Flintshire's scrutiny have also featured.[1][2][3][5][10][16]
Written in November 2026 from council records since 20 September 2026, open consultations and official sources. Written automatically, then checked: every point names its sources and every figure appears in them. Follow the links to check anything before relying on it.
How the council itself is run: its constitution, staff, buildings, IT, complaints, and how councillors behave.
The full Council agrees the constitution. A standards committee deals with councillors' conduct; the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales investigates complaints.
Complain to the council first; if you're not satisfied, you can go to the Ombudsman. Council meetings are public, and many are broadcast.
