It agreed its draft annual report for the full Council meeting on 16 July 2026, deferred the officers' interests item to a later meeting, and agreed the work programme for 2026/27.
The Standards and Ethics Committee met on 29 April 2026 and welcomed its new Independent Member, Stephanie Yung. It noted new regulations on standards committees that took effect on 5 January 2026, and it recommended an amended Members' Code of Conduct to full Council for approval. It also noted reports on complaints, gifts and hospitality, meeting observation, a national forum, and its work programme for 2026/27.

The committee considered the appointment of a new Independent member, a report on Code of Conduct complaints, councillor training attendance, and a revised Local Resolution Protocol. It agreed to recommend to full Council the appointment of a new Independent member and the reappointment of David Mills, and it agreed amendments to the Local Resolution Protocol, a voluntary way to settle minor disputes informally before a formal complaint. Cllr Brown-Reckless opposed the protocol.
