The Appointments Committee interviewed four shortlisted candidates for the post of Director of Children's Services. The Committee appointed Suki Bahara-Garrens to the post, on the fixed salary attached to the post.
It decided to invite four candidates to interview and to give them a choice of presentation topic, with up to 10 minutes to present.
It elected Councillor Ashley Lister as Chair, noted its terms of reference, and put six of the ten applicants forward to the Assessment Centre, the next stage of selection. The committee will meet again on 12 February 2026 for shortlisting.
