Cyfarfu'r Cyngor llawn ar 17 Mawrth 2022. Prif fusnes y cyfarfod oedd a ddylid rhoi Rhyddfraint Dinas a Sir Caerdydd i HMS Cambria, cartref y Llynges Frenhinol yng Nghymru. Cytunodd y Cyngor i wneud hynny a dirprwyodd drefniadau'r seremoni i'r Prif Weithredwr.

1. Rhyddfraint Dinas i HMS Cambria

   Penderfyniad

   Cytunodd y Cyngor i dderbyn HMS Cambria yn Rhyddfreiniwr Anrhydeddus Dinas a Sir Caerdydd. Rhoddodd hefyd awdurdod dirprwyedig i'r Prif Weithredwr drefnu'r seremoni, mewn ymgynghoriad ag Arweinydd y Cyngor a'r Arglwydd Faer.

   Yn ôl y cofnod, mae'r anrhydedd yn cydnabod hanes hir a nodedig HMS Cambria fel cartref y Llynges Frenhinol yng Nghymru, a'i rôl allweddol wrth hyfforddi a lleoli Milwyr Wrth Gefn y Llynges Frenhinol i gefnogi'r Llynges Frenhinol ar y môr ac ar y tir, gartref a thramor. Mae Rhyddfraint Dinas yn anrhydedd y gall cyngor ei rhoi o dan Adran 249 Deddf Llywodraeth Leol 1972, cyfraith sy'n caniatáu i gynghorau roi rhyddfraint anrhydeddus i unigolion neu gyrff.

   Freedom of the City of Cardiff

   RESOLVED: The Council considered and agreed to: 1. The admission as Honorary Freemen of the City and County of Cardiff of HMS Cambria under Section 249 of the Local Government Act 1972 in recognition of its long and distinguished history as the Royal Navy’s home in Wales and its pivotal role in training and deploying Royal Naval Reservists to support the Royal Navy at sea and ashore, at home and abroad. That the Chief Executive be granted delegated authority to make suitable arrangements for the Freedom of the City to be ceremonially granted to HMS Cambria, in consultation with the Leader of the Council and the Lord Mayor.
