Ystyriodd Pwyllgor Cynllunio geisiadau cynllunio ar 12 Chwefror 2026. Rhoddodd y Pwyllgor ganiatâd i ddau gais: un ar gyfer llety cyd-fyw yn 51-59 Penarth Road, Butetown, ac un ar gyfer tai fforddiadwy ar safle hen Glwb Cymdeithasol ac Athletau Fairwater. Mae'r ddau ganiatâd yn amodol ar gytundebau cyfreithiol gyda'r datblygwyr, a elwir yn gytundebau Adran 106.

Cllr Michael noted that he had formerly been a trustee of Fairwater Social & Athletic Club (5a) but had been advised that it was not necessary to declare a formal interest. Cllr Driscoll added that he had also been a member of the club years ago, and had raised funds for it as part of Fairwater Rugby Club.
The minutes of the meeting of the Planning Committee on 15th January were approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

RESOLVED: Pursuant to this Committee’s delegated powers the following development management applications be determined in accordance with the recommendation set out in the reports of the Director of Planning, Transport and Environment, subject to any further amendments as detailed below and notification be given of the decisions in accordance with Section 70 of the Town and Country Planning Act 1990 or Section 74 of the Planning (Listed Building & Conservation) Act 1990. APPLICATION GRANTED SUBJECT TO S106 AGREEMENT: 5a. 25/01022/FUL – BUTETOWN 51-59 Penarth Road, Butetown Demolition of existing buildings and construction of co-living accommodation units in a single building of up to nine storeys, commercial floorspace on the ground floor and the provision of indoor and outdoor amenity space, cycle parking and associated works. APPLICATION GRANTED SUBJECT TO S106 AGREEMENT AND REVISED CONDITIONS: 5b. 25/01220/FUL – FAIRWATER Former Fairwater Social & Athletic Club, Plasmawr Road, Fairwater Demolition of the former Fairwater Social Club and construction of affordable houses together with access, landscaping, drainage, engineering, and the associated works.
