APPOINTMENT OF GROWTH DEAL SRO AND LEAD MEMBERS
RESOLVED 1. To agree to the principle that the Senior Responsible Owner and Portfolio Director roles should be separated (subject to HR advice) and undertaken by different individuals and note the proposed division of duties and responsibilities. 2. To request a nomination from one of the six local authority Chief Executives to act as Senior Responsible Owner (SRO) for the North Wales Growth Deal with a view to confirming this appointment at the next meeting, which has been programmed for 4 April 2025. 3. RESOLVED 1. That the Sub-committee appoints Dylan Williams (Chief Executive of the Isle of Anglesey County Council) as the new Senior Responsible Owner (SRO) for the Growth Deal. 2. That the Sub-committee agrees to review the arrangements in 12 months’ time. REASONS FOR THE DECISION To seek to confirm the appointment of the SRO of the Growth Deal in line with the decisions made by the Economic Ambition Board in February 2025, to separate the role of the SRO and the Portfolio Director in response to the new requirement from the Government.
