Communities, Environment and Housing Overview and Scrutiny Committee (Formerly Subject Overview & Scrutiny Committee 3). Scrutiny committees question decisions and can recommend changes. They don't make the decision.
Housing position statement
The Committee made two recommendations. It recommended that it write to the Group Manager, Planning and Development Services, about better consultation between registered social landlords and housing developers on the types and numbers of homes being built. It also recommended that registered social landlords give a written response on their short- and medium-term ideas to tackle the housing crisis. It requested three pieces of information: how many veterans and ex-service personnel have presented as homeless; from Development Control, how many social housing units have been lost in return for Section 106 money; and whether registered social landlords can provide information on the Physical Adaptation Grant and its effect on waiting lists.
Cabinet. The Cabinet makes most of the council's decisions.

Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
