Porthcawl regeneration programme
The Committee agreed ten recommendations and made several requests. It accepted an offer of a site visit to the regeneration area. It recommended that future site sales use the two-stage process used for the Salt Lake site: design first, then best consideration (the best price reasonably obtainable). It recommended that the authority plan for possible extra coach parking in Porthcawl or nearby. It recommended that the Metrolink link go to Bridgend train station rather than Pyle until Pyle station is upgraded. It asked for the presentation slides, asked the owners of Coney Beach fairground for visitor and spending figures, and asked for written responses on sea defences at Newton, the Porthcawl Regeneration Investment Focus schemes, and the sources of funding for the programme. It also asked for a confidential briefing on the history of Cosy Corner. The Committee noted that the planned park and ride at Pyle station is no longer going ahead.

Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
