Director of Social Services Annual Report 2021/22
The Committee made four recommendations: that the report include data and graphics on the impact of staffing pressures; that it refer to the Corporate Risk Register when discussing the critical incident in 2022; that it reflect the complexity and nature of referrals, especially in children's social care, as well as rising demand; and that the Committee write, in support of the Deputy Leader, to the Welsh Minister for Social Services about budget pressures. The Committee also asked for confirmation of whether Social Services plans to survey primary school pupils, as it did with secondary pupils, to set wellbeing baselines for the review of play sufficiency.
