Council tax base for 2025-26
Cabinet approved a net council tax base of 49,703.53 for the whole county borough. It also approved the tax base for each town and community council area, as set out in paragraph 4 of the report.
Council. Full Council sets the budget and council tax and approves major plans.
Council Tax 2025/26
Council passed the three resolutions needed to set Council Tax for 2025/26, under the Local Government Finance Act 1992. These covered treating certain expenses and the Swansea Bay Port Health Authority levy as general expenses, and approving the amounts calculated under Sections 32 to 36 of the Act.
