2026/27 revenue budget: council tax consultation
The Cabinet agreed to consult on a 3.5% council tax increase for 2026/27, having considered the Integrated Impact Assessment (a document that looks at how proposals affect different groups). It also agreed a three-week consultation closing on Friday 6 February 2026. The decision took effect at once, because the relevant Scrutiny Chair (the councillor who leads the committee that checks Cabinet decisions) supported it.

Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
