Limited trial of on-street home charging for electric vehicles
Cabinet agreed to lift the current ban, known as a moratorium, on on-street charging so that a limited trial can go ahead. It gave the Director of Environment and Regeneration delegated authority, meaning a power to act without a further meeting, to agree the location and details of any trial. Before any trial starts, a report on location and cost must go to the Environment, Regeneration and Streetscene Services Committee for scrutiny, meaning review by councillors. The decisions take effect after a three-day call-in period, when councillors can ask for a decision to be looked at again.

The Committee noted the report. Members asked for a site visit once the installations are in place, and officers said they would arrange it.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
