Newport Norse joint venture partnership performance
The Committee judged that there has been satisfactory progress against the partnership's initial aims, although some Members disagreed with the profit-split model agreed at the start of the contract. Members also want to know how much public money goes into public services, how much of the profit share goes to Norfolk County Council, which owns Norse, and where the rebate money goes and how it is used and recorded. Members said the arrangement is not transparent.
Cabinet. The Cabinet makes most of the council's decisions.

Newport Norse joint venture: strategy and performance review
No formal decision is recorded. The committee asked for: equality and diversity data, including age, ethnicity and workforce make-up; a corrected print version of the NTW1 figure, which members said should be 147 of 346 employees (about 43%) rather than 80%; examples of community work and staff volunteering; and gender pay gap data, which the managing director agreed to check.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
