Recruiting lay members to the Standards Committee
Council authorised the Head of Democratic Services, in consultation with the Head of Law and Standards, to appoint a selection panel. The panel will shortlist and interview candidates and then recommend to Council who should be appointed. The Head of Democratic Services may also take the other steps needed, including advertising the posts.

Council approved the recruitment panel's recommendations on appointing lay members to the Standards Committee for an initial term.
