It asked for a response on discussions about young people leaving the youth justice system early, and for an update on the Eliminate programme's funding and costs and on in-house care home provision. After its questions, the Committee made these comments and recommendations: the report process should be clearer; project management should use an incremental approach, with clear objectives, timelines and outcomes for each phase; face-to-face exit interviews should be offered to leavers; reports should include specific figures and data instead of general phrases; face-to-face support should be kept and, where possible, expanded for people who cannot easily use online services; online tutorials and troubleshooting guides, including for booking forms, should be created and published; the Flexible Working Policy and how it applies to Members should be communicated and clarified; handheld devices or systems, and safety measures such as GPS tracking, emergency alerts or safety apps, should be explored for Members working in the community, with updates on these safety policies; and officers should explore telling Members what assets are in their wards and provide a comprehensive list of Council assets and their status.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
