Draft Corporate Plan 2022-27 well-being themes
The minute records the committee's conclusions. The committee welcomed the plan and was pleased with its objectives. It asked for more face-to-face consultation with residents, for example by having officers in the city centre, more independent research on different groups, and the chance to see the results of future consultations. It asked for plainer wording, with terms such as 'to become' and 'to create' changed to show what has been achieved. It asked for more detail on the heritage offer. It raised concern about the low number of university students in Newport and asked for information on student numbers and the support funded by the council, to be sent back as a response from the relevant service area. The Chair said a question on the economy might suit a different Performance Scrutiny Committee and asked for it to be taken forward.
Cabinet. The Cabinet makes most of the council's decisions.

Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
