Corporate Safeguarding Annual Report 2023-24
The Committee recommended that a diagram of the council's safeguarding structure, including wider partners, be created and shared with the Committee; that the tables on page 18 be clarified and an updated VAWDASV training table be circulated; that training data for corporate staff and social care professionals be shown separately; that continuing professional development and training data for social care professionals be included; that a section on the training and support for Designated Safeguarding Persons be added to future reports; that percentages in future reports be given context; that whistleblowing training data be included in future reports; that work under Standard 2 be evidenced more thoroughly; and that the report make clear that 'resource implication' refers to the Safeguarding Team and not the council as a whole. The Head of Corporate Safeguarding agreed to create the diagram and clarify the tables.

Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
