Shared Prosperity Fund local investment plan
Cabinet endorsed the first year's delivery, which covers 2022/23 only. It approved the administration and governance arrangements and endorsed the Newport Local Investment Plan for years 2 and 3, noting the expected outputs and outcomes. It authorised the Head of Regeneration and Economic Development and the Head of Finance to claim funding from the Lead Authority, which is Rhondda Cynon Taf council and administers the regional money. It delegated to an internal SPF Board, chaired by the Head of Regeneration and Economic Development and working with the Cabinet Member for Economic Growth and Strategic Investment, the power to agree specific projects and adjust them. It delegated to the Head of Law and Standards the power to prepare legal documents for suppliers and grants, and let the Board work within a financial framework to manage risk.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
