Replacement Local Development Plan Preferred Strategy for consultation
The Committee was happy to recommend that the Preferred Strategy goes forward to public consultation, based on the feedback given. It also recommended that officers engage face to face with digitally excluded residents, use public events including Newport Food Festival, and use Newport Library alongside the Civic Centre for face-to-face consultation. It recommended that officers engage councillors in all wards to identify potential sites and widen the consultation venues. It asked that the term 'social' on page 38 of the agenda be clarified as a reference to the Well-being of Future Generations (Wales) Act 2015.
