The Committee noted the contents of the report. The Strategic Director for Transformation and Corporate confirmed that a written response will be provided to the Committee on refused complaints, setting out the reasons for refusals.

The Committee noted Newport City Council's strong performance compared with other Welsh local authorities. It noted the overall rise in complaints to the PSOW and recognised that easier, more accessible ways to report problems are important for improving public services.
