Performance Scrutiny Committee - Place and Corporate. Scrutiny committees question decisions and can recommend changes. They don't make the decision.
Newport Placemaking Plan
The Committee recommended a robust governance and accountability structure for delivering the Plan, with clear reporting lines and named lead officers or organisations for each strand of work. It asked for the item to return to scrutiny (councillors checking the council's work) in 18 months for formal review, and for Cabinet to be fully informed of these arrangements. It also recommended that the Plan show where actions and measures will be set out and monitored, such as events held and jobs created, and longer-term outcomes such as accessibility, safety and environmental performance. Finally, it recommended a communication strategy to promote the Plan's ambitions and early successes, known as quick wins.

Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
