A decision has been made, so the council is no longer taking comments. Refused, 11 May 2026.
This application was named on the agenda of Planning Committee on 11 May 2026.
What the committee decided
Permission was refused for two reasons. The first is that there is not enough parking on the site, so more cars would park on nearby streets and harm highway safety. The second is that the extra hard surface would raise the risk of surface water flooding, an existing risk near the site shown on the Flood Map for Planning.
Application received
The council checks the application is complete and gives it a reference number.
Consultation
The council tells neighbours and others, usually with a site notice or letters. Anyone can comment, usually within 21 days.
Decision
Most applications are decided by the council's planning officers. Larger or disputed ones go to the planning committee, where councillors decide in public.
After the decision
If permission is refused, the applicant can appeal to Planning and Environment Decisions Wales. Other people can't appeal, but can comment on an appeal.
