24/23166/TPO Norway Maple (TPO DC/018/3) located at Govilon Recreation Ground adjacent to dog walk entrance. A Tree Consultant Report accompanies this application. Recommendations are as follows: 1. Remove all ivy from tree. 2. Climb the tree and remove obvious dead sections from the crown. 3. Check branches within the crown that show decay/damage for decay extent, significance and potential weakness. Where overly structurally compromised, reduce the limb to an appropriate dimension to improve safety factor. 4. All pruning should aim to retain the lower crown strong epicormic shoots as a new lower crown area. 5. Upper crown should be reduced in extent by a further 3m at suitable lateral branches. 6. Final balancing pruning work (reduction) should take place to ensure an even density and silhouette remains. This may include reducing the low/mid crown south limb extending over the adjacent boundary wall. 7. Final tree height sound be around 1/5th lower than current dimensions at 16-17m tall.
