The location given for this application is inside a site the local development plan sets aside for homes: Adj 'Shirley', Ludlow Road, Knighton, P24 HA1. That means the authority expects the site to be built on during the plan period. The application is still decided on its merits. About the local development plan
This application is waiting for a decision, so you can still comment. Say whether you support or object, and why, sticking to planning matters. Comments go to the council and are usually published.
Only planning matters count in a decision: things like the look of a building, traffic, noise, overlooking, loss of light, and the council's local development plan. A fall in the value of a neighbouring home doesn't count, nor does who the applicant is.
Application received
The council checks the application is complete and gives it a reference number.
Consultation
The council tells neighbours and others, usually with a site notice or letters. Anyone can comment, usually within 21 days.
Decision
Most applications are decided by the council's planning officers. Larger or disputed ones go to the planning committee, where councillors decide in public.
After the decision
If permission is refused, the applicant can appeal to Planning and Environment Decisions Wales. Other people can't appeal, but can comment on an appeal.
