Corporate and Strategic Equality Plan scorecard, Quarter 3
Cabinet confirmed it is assured that performance is progressing well, or that mitigating actions have been identified and reflected in updates to service business plans. It confirmed it is satisfied that any remedial actions (steps to fix problems) will improve performance in line with the plan's outcomes. It endorsed the published scorecard as final on the Council's website, so that the public and partners can continue to access it.

Scrutiny's observations and recommendations on Quarter 3 performance
The Committee endorsed and welcomed several points, and recorded its concerns and the areas it remained unconvinced about. It made six recommendations: a report on attendance among vulnerable learner groups; data on the share of three-year-olds in early years settings, including Welsh-medium provision; a review of the performance framework to show impact; a review of when and how performance information is presented; clearer notes on reporting cycles; and Scrutiny Members taking part in the next review of targets. It also requested sickness absence data by service area, split into long-term and short-term absence.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
