Resolved that the generic role description and person specification, developed by the Welsh Local Government Association [WLGA] is adopted and amended, if required, for any particular MC role. · Appointment of MC – the Committee debated the options for the recruitment and appointment of MCs to ensure that this was democratic but also not an overly bureaucratic process. The Leader needed to be involved to ensure there was no overlap or duplication of roles with the Cabinet and MCs need to compliment the Cabinet roles. RESOLVED that 1. the generic role description and person specification, developed by the Welsh Local Government Association [WLGA] is adopted and amended, if required, for any particular MC role; 2. when a new MC role has been established, the information regarding this role will be circulated to all Councillors and expressions of interest will be sought.
