School funding formula and scheme for financing schools
Cabinet agreed changes to the primary and secondary school funding formulas and the scheme for financing schools, subject to Full Council approving the extra budget in February 2026. Primary changes will be phased in at 20% in 2026-27, 50% in 2027-28 and 100% in 2028-29, while secondary changes will be implemented as set out in the report.
