Renewal of alcohol and intoxicating substances Public Spaces Protection Order
Cabinet considered the report and the evidence for renewing the Public Spaces Protection Order (PSPO) on intoxicating substances, including alcohol, from 1 October 2024. It also considered comments from the Community Services Crime and Disorder Scrutiny Committee, which pre-scrutinised the proposal on 2 September. Cabinet approved the renewal for the whole County Borough, with two exclusion zones in Aberdare and Pontypridd town centres, including the Lower Graig area, to control the use of intoxicating substances in public places.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
