Future recycling plan and removal of garden waste bag charge
The Cabinet approved a set of steps to improve recycling while a new long-term waste strategy is prepared. It paused the public consultation on a new Waste Strategy until a draft is more fully developed, and officers will model future recycling options. Reusable recycling containers will be rolled out at the kerbside, single-use plastic recycling bags will stop, and the 2.50 pound charge for garden waste bags will be removed. It also agreed to refresh the Keep Recycling Out policy, which encourages residents to separate recyclables, at the kerbside and the No Recyclables in Black Bags policy at household waste recycling centres. Officers will seek Welsh Government funding for the Baling Plant and run kerbside trials of more recycling streams, and the Cabinet approved amendments to the proposed waste savings in the Mid-Term Financial Plan.

Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
