Changes to the councillors' ICT allowance policy
Council approved changes to the Councillors ICT Allowances Policy. The allowance can now cover smart technology and related subscriptions for safety and wellbeing. Councillors must give proof of their data, home telephone and mobile connection once in each five-year term, instead of twice. The word 'sent' was corrected to 'spent' in a table. The data protection section was rewritten to state that data on council systems belongs to the council, that the council may monitor its systems, and that confidential emails must not be sent to personal accounts. The policy will be updated and republished.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
