Election of the Deputy Lord Mayor for 2024-2025
Councillor E W Fitzgerald was elected Deputy Lord Mayor of the City and County of Swansea for the 2024-2025 municipal year. The motion was moved by Councillor M Tribe and seconded by Councillor K M Griffiths. The Deputy Lord Mayor made and signed the declaration of acceptance of office.

Election of Deputy Lord Mayor and nominations for 2025-26
The Council elected Councillor Cheryl Philpott as Deputy Lord Mayor for the rest of 2024-25. It nominated Councillor Cheryl Philpott as Lord Mayor for 2025-26 and Councillor Penny Matthews as Deputy Lord Mayor for 2025-26. It amended the Lord Mayor and Deputy Lord Mayor Protocol as set out in paragraphs 15 to 18 of the report.
