Extra financial support for Freedom Leisure in 2022/23
Approved extending financial relief to Freedom Leisure until 31 March 2023. The council will underwrite an operating deficit of up to £800k, on top of the monthly contract management fee. Payments will be reconciled under an open book approach, so the company shares its accounts with the council. Delegated authority to the Director of Place to agree changes to service terms within the budget, and to the Chief Legal Officer to sign the documents.
