Children and Young People Scrutiny Committee. Scrutiny committees question decisions and can recommend changes. They don't make the decision.
Play Sufficiency Assessment 2025-28
The Committee noted the output from the Play Sufficiency Assessment 2025-28, as set out in the report and Appendix 1. It did not carry out pre-decision scrutiny of the output, because members had taken part in policy development sessions in October and November 2024. Members were told that progress on the assessment's action plans would be shared with the Committee when appropriate.
Cabinet. The Cabinet makes most of the council's decisions.
Children's Play Sufficiency Assessment 2025-2028
Cabinet received the assessment and approved publishing the draft for the statutory 28-day consultation. It delegated to the Director for Children's Services, with named cabinet members, authority to approve the final assessment and action plan, submit them to Welsh Government by 30 June 2025, and set up a children's play working group. It also approved annual progress reports to Cabinet, the Public Service Board and the Children and Young People's Scrutiny Committee.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
