Chairs and deputy chairs of committees and scrutiny
Council agreed to elect chairs and deputy chairs for the regulatory and other committees, and to approve the proportional allocation of scrutiny chairs (scrutiny means councillors checking and challenging the council's work). It noted the scrutiny chairs proposed by party groups under Part 6 of the Local Government (Wales) Measure 2011, a Welsh law on how councils are run.
