Budget Report 2026/27
Cabinet recommended that Council approve the 2026/27 revenue, capital and housing revenue account budgets and raise Council Tax by 3.90%. It also recommended that Council set the Council Tax amount for each band and area, and keep the current Council Tax Reduction Scheme. Cabinet approved changes to fees and charges and gave the appropriate Director power to amend or add fees during the year, subject to impact assessments and public consultation. It also recognised the financial challenges facing the Council, as set out in the Medium-Term Financial Plan (the Council's plan for the next few years' finances).
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
