2023/24 budget update and proposals for consultation
The Cabinet noted the updated budget position for 2023/24 at provisional settlement stage. It agreed the proposed approach to budget consultation. Formal consultation will start on 23 December 2022 and run until 29 January 2023. Cabinet will consider the results when it prepares its final 2023/24 budget proposal.
Policy Review and Performance Scrutiny Committee. Scrutiny committees question decisions and can recommend changes. They don't make the decision.
2023/24 budget consultation: briefing and observations
The committee agreed that the Chairperson will write to the Cabinet Member with the committee's observations for the Cabinet's discussion on the way forward.
