Specialist resource bases for children with additional learning needs
The Committee agreed that the Chairperson would write to the Cabinet Member, Cllr Sarah Merry, setting out the Committee's comments and observations. The minute does not record a view on the proposals themselves.

Provision for children and young people with additional learning needs
These are classes within schools for pupils with particular needs. Six are for emotional health and wellbeing, two are for autism or complex learning needs, and one is for emotional health and wellbeing at a Welsh-medium secondary school. Their places and start dates are listed in the resolution. Cabinet agreed that a proposal for an 8-place base at Ysgol Gymraeg Pwll Coch will not go ahead. A further report will come to Cabinet with any objections and responses before the proposals are carried out.

Changes to additional learning needs provision in schools
Cabinet approved the proposals for changes to additional learning needs provision without modification. It authorised officers to carry them out and to publish the decision within seven days of the proposals being determined.
