Environmental Scrutiny Committee. Scrutiny committees question decisions and can recommend changes. They don't make the decision.
Advertising and Sponsorship Policy (pre-decision scrutiny)
The Committee resolved that the Chairperson write to the Cabinet Member on the Committee's behalf, setting out its comments and observations. The minute records no decision on the policy itself, which Cabinet will decide.

Advertising and Sponsorship Policy
Cabinet approved the updated Advertising and Sponsorship Policy. It noted that advertising for high fat, salt and sugar foods, alcohol and religion is on a Restricted List and will be judged case by case. It approved removing the Cardiff Council logo from advertising banners and adding an identifier that shows the advert follows council policy. It agreed the policy will be reviewed every three years, or sooner if the law changes. It noted that existing contracts stay on the old policy until they end.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
