Children and Young People Scrutiny Committee. Scrutiny committees question decisions and can recommend changes. They don't make the decision.
Specialist school places for pupils with complex needs and autism
The committee agreed that the Chair should write to the Cabinet Member with the committee's comments and observations from the discussion.
Cabinet. The Cabinet makes most of the council's decisions.
Complex learning needs and autism provision changes in schools
The Cabinet approved nine proposals without change. These cover new or expanded resource bases and special schools, from September 2022 or 2023. They include a new 20-place base at Moorland Primary School and a rise in places at The Hollies Special School from 90 to 150. Officers were authorised to implement the proposals and publish the decision within 7 days.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
