Business Improvement District renewal ballot
Cabinet confirmed in-principle support for the BID renewal proposals for 2026-2031. It authorised the Director of Economic Development to submit the council's consultation response, check compliance and ask the Returning Officer to hold the ballot, cast the council's votes in the ballot, and conclude the draft Operating Agreement for levy collection. Subject to a successful ballot, it delegated authority to the Director of Economic Development, after consulting the Leader and the statutory officers, to agree an advance to the BID company, repayable by 31 March 2027.
