Fairwater Community Campus after ISG Construction administration
Cabinet noted that Cantonian High School is in temporary accommodation, so the campus must move forward urgently. It agreed to proceed with Option 7 in a confidential annex: to novate (transfer) the existing ISG contracts to a supply chain partner for limited work over a limited time, and to start a tender for the remaining works. Subject to final agreements, it agreed to terminate the ISG Construction Ltd enabling and main works contracts. It delegated authority to the Director for Education and Lifelong Learning, in consultation with the Cabinet Members for Education and for Finance, the Chief Executive, the Director for Economic Development, the Section 151 Officer and the Monitoring Officer, to agree a fallback option if novation fails and to run the tender and appoint a main contractor. It agreed the council will enter the agreements needed, subject to final legal and financial advice, and noted the Single Impact Assessment in Annex 2.

Fairwater Campus update
The committee resolved that the Chair write to the Cabinet Member with the comments and observations made during the discussion. The minute records no decision on the campus itself.

Fairwater Community Campus: ISG administration and contractor
Cabinet noted the progress update. It noted that the search for a replacement main contractor has ended. It agreed that the existing arrangements continue to minimise disruption. It agreed an uplifted budget for project risk allowance, the amount being in a confidential appendix. It noted that Welsh Government will support risk allowance spend, retrospectively and under its usual processes. It noted the Single Impact Assessment and Child's Rights Impact Assessment.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
