Environmental Scrutiny Committee. Scrutiny committees question decisions and can recommend changes. They don't make the decision.
City Parking Plan: zonal parking areas across the city
The Committee agreed that the Chairperson should write on its behalf to the Cabinet Member for Transport and Strategic Planning, Councillor Dan De'Ath, to pass on any comments, observations and recommendations made during the discussion.
Cabinet. The Cabinet makes most of the council's decisions.
City Parking Plan and parking policy changes
The Cabinet approved the draft City Parking Plan and draft changes to the Parking Policies, both subject to minor amendments. It approved starting public consultation on both. It delegated authority to the Director of Planning, Transport and Environment, with the Cabinet Member for Transport and the Section 151 Officer, to run the consultation, make minor amendments after it closes, and approve the final plan and policy changes.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
