South East Wales Corporate Joint Committee standards and scrutiny
Council agreed to let Cardiff's Standards and Ethics Committee discharge the standards functions of the South East Wales Corporate Joint Committee, subject to a Service Level Agreement. It appointed the Cardiff Capital Region City Deal Joint Overview and Scrutiny Committee as the council's scrutiny committee for the regional body, subject to agreement by the other constituent councils. It noted the scrutiny chairs' comments and agreed to submit three recommendations to the Joint Overview and Scrutiny Committee. The vote was 63 for, with no votes against and no abstentions.

RESOLVED to: (1) Note that the Monitoring Officer has not received any complaints under the Corporate Joint Committee’s Code of Conduct for Members for the period from 1 April 2024 to 15 January 2025; (2) Consider the arrangements for members’ declarations of interests set out in paragraphs 5 to 10 of this report; and (3) Consider the arrangements for members’ registrations of gifts and hospitality set out in paragraphs 11 and 12 of this report.
