Community & Adult Services Scrutiny Committee. Scrutiny committees question decisions and can recommend changes. They don't make the decision.
A new Housing Development Partnership
The committee agreed that the Chairperson will write to the Cabinet Member conveying the committee's observations on the way forward. The minute does not record a decision on whether to start the partnership.
Cabinet. The Cabinet makes most of the council's decisions.
A second Cardiff Housing Partnership
The Cabinet approved in principle a second Cardiff Housing Partnership Programme, including a procurement exercise to appoint a development partner. It approved the list of proposed development sites, and that more suitable sites can be added subject to financial parameters such as viability assessments and the HRA Business Plan. It delegated procurement matters to the Corporate Director for People and Communities, in consultation with the Cabinet Member for Housing and Communities. It noted that a later report will seek approval to appoint the preferred bidder.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
