Cabinet agreed the strategic approach to develop an additional Green Crematorium and Wake facility. It delegated authority to the Director of Planning, Transport & Environment, with the Cabinet Member for Waste, Street Scene & Environmental Services, the Corporate Director for Resources and the Director of Governance and Legal Services, to fund a formal pre-application enquiry on the Dutch Garden Centre site, develop a business case with extensive consultation, and submit a full planning application to Planning Committee in early 2027. Cabinet noted that a further report will come to Cabinet in spring or summer 2027.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
