Children's care home accommodation and ending profit from care
Cabinet approved the Providing Homes for Children Strategy for submission to Welsh Government and publication. It delegated authority to the Director of Children's Services, after consulting the Cabinet Member, the Section 151 Officer (the senior finance officer) and the Monitoring Officer (the officer who checks legal compliance), to run the procurement of children's care home services. Delegated authority means officers can make these decisions without a further Cabinet vote. It also authorised talks with other councils on working together.

Eliminating profit from care: progress update
The Committee received the update. The Chair will write to the Cabinet Member with the Committee's comments and observations.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
