Feasibility study on post-16 education provision
The committee agreed to note the feasibility report. It agreed in principle to start the process of adopting Option 2 for September 2026. This is subject to two conditions: the committee must first see draft terms of reference for the Strategic Board and Executive Board, and the costings of Option 2 must be presented and compared with current post-16 costs in each of the six schools. It also approved further investigation of Option 4, subject to officer capacity, to consider a Centre of Excellence on one or more sites.
Items are linked when their titles share most of their words and they fall within 18 months of each other. Councils don't number reports across meetings, so a few links may be wrong, and a step may be missing if its title changed a lot. Each step links to the meeting, where the council's own papers are.
